Cisco initially reached out to Ellebridge to expand its relationship with us when they needed to quickly scale up their communications team with experts who understand how to translate “tech speak” into simple communications. (We already work with Cisco to target C-suite executives for digital transformation marketing efforts.) Ellebridge worked with the Cisco communications team to advise on the overall internal marketing program strategy, lead video production efforts, and oversee the program’s bi-monthly newsletter.

In addition to unifying the data-driven sales message, Ellebridge guided the change management communications for Cisco sales executives working from disparate locations across the country. The challenge? Using internal marketing/communications to change the data-driven sales motion from reactive to proactive for account executives around the world.

How We Did It

Ellebridge guided the Cisco communications team, coaching them on strategies to help the data-driven selling program reach the global sales team – regardless of whether the execs work at an office or remotely. Ellebridge strategically advised on the latest internal communication tools to help the team drive change. Once the Cisco communications program team approved the strategic direction and launch activities, Ellebridge provided the extra hands to “dig in and get the jobs done.” We executed program launch activities, including drafting FAQs, talking points, an elevator pitch, writing/producing brand awareness videos, and designing and managing a bi-monthly newsletter. And, after each activation, the program team saw spikes in engagement from the global sales audience.  

In fact, this shift from reactive to proactive selling resulted in more than $12-million additional sales.
